PCSO 5206 and PCSO 5245 Thomas have introduced a new ‘drop in surgery’ to be held at Kendal Auction mart. This will be held every other Thursday on sale days, it is hoped that it will give farmers and ourselves the chance to meet and discuss any issues raised within the farming community. We hope to promote farm security through the Farm Watch scheme and the distribution of Smart Water. A number of farms are already part of Farm Watch and have had quad bikes etc marked with ‘Smart Water’. If you are interested in becoming a Farm Watch member and having your property marked with Smart Water please contact us.
In the weeks running up to Halloween and Bonfire night information and advice has been distributed to secondary schools regarding Firework safety and safety while out trick or treating. Bonfire night safety talks will have been delivered to primary schools in the area.

There have been reports of more door step callers in the area trying to sell items and I would like to reiterate the fact not to allow anyone you don’t know to enter your property.
A team of seven officers, two dog handlers and ‘Jet’ the passive drugs dog, visited a number of pubs in Kirkby Lonsdale. This was a success and a man from Carnforth was arrested on suspicion of illegally possessing the drug amphetamine The local community has provided us with intelligence that suggests that drug use does go on in the area and we want to ensure that the individuals concerned understand the consequences.
