Casterton Village Hall is a local resource that is run as a registered charity with an elected management committee including representatives from all local groups.
It is located in the centre of the village which has a population of around 300 and is situated about one and a quarter miles from the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Hall can accommodate up to 72 people seated. It has an entertainments licence and was totally refurbished and refurnished in 2003 including the introduction of disabled toilet facilities. There is a well equipped kitchen complete with range cooker and dishwasher. With new crockery, cutlery and tablecloths the village hall can be used for most types of function. The Village Hall Committee organize a variety of entertainments throughout the winter months - see link below. The hall can also be used for private events such as birthday and anniversary celebrations and is well situated near to the Parish Church of Holy Trinity for such things as christening celebrations.
The hire costs are £7.00 per hour for local and charity events and £8.50 for commercial ones.
Parking is available in the Holly Bush car park belonging to Casterton School, outside of school hours, by kind permission of the headmaster. The car park can be found by driving up the lane beside Holy Trinity Church, turning right at the first junction and the car park is immediately on the left. If parking on the road outside the hall, please do not block the footpath.
